Rosaries & Chaplets
The Rosary is a prayer devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary in which one recites a series of prayers while meditating on the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In order to keep track of the prayers, "rosary beads" are generally used; a specific prayer is prayed on each bead.
In this Rosary with Scripture, the rosary is prayed with a biblical verse read before each Hail Mary, providing for a more contemplative experience.

Chaplet of Saint Gertrude
The Chaplet of Saint Gertrude is prayed using regular Rosary beads and begins with the same opening prayers as the Rosary. However, instead of praying the Hail Mary prayer on the 50 smaller beads, the St. Gertrude Prayer is prayed instead.
SPECIAL NOTE: It is believed that Jesus appeared to Saint Gertrude with the promise of 1,000 souls being freed from Purgatory each time the St. Gertrude Prayer is prayed. Because the St. Gertrude Prayer is prayed 50 times in this chaplet, it would mean that 50,000 souls are released from Purgatory each time this chaplet is prayed with true devotion.
